September 29, 2012
The Big Dam Bridge 100, also known as the BDB100, is the largest cycling race that takes place in Arkansas. The course takes cyclists through downtown Little Rock, North Little Rock as well as across the main attraction: the Big Dam Bridge.
Cyclists ages 12 and up are encouraged to sign up. There are five different distances that can be completed so cyclists of all levels can join, from beginners who just learned how to bike, to those so experienced they can bike in their sleep. The distances range from an easy 15 mile cruise to a challenging, yet satisfying 100 miles. Children must have the consent of a parent or guardian in order to participate in the tour. For those wishing to participate, online registration closes at 8:00 pm central time on September 26th, 2012. The actual race starts takes place on September 29th, 2012.
This event is a great way to get active, have fun, and make new friends. Because of the varying levels of difficulty, this tour puts no pressure on those just starting to get into the habit of exercising and is a wonderful way to dive into the sport.
